Tyrese opens up to TheYBF.com about why Black & Blue was the right movie for him to star in following his public meltdown. Everything he told us, plus flicks from Black & Blue’s NYC screening inside…
Over the last year-and-a-half, Tyrese has been going through it!
We all saw his public social media meltdown when the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services launched an investigation against him after his ex-wife Norma made claims that the YBF actor had beaten their daughter so hard she was unable to sit down. The case was eventually closed, and he was able to reunite with his daughter. No criminal charges were brought up against him.
Now that the storm has passed, he’s ready to get back to his career full throttle.
Black & Blue– a cop thriller - is the first film Tyrese signed on to do following his “mess.” At the 2019 Urbanworld Film Festival in NYC, he explained to YBF correspondent Angela Yvonne why thefilm was the perfect project for him to sign on to do after he got through the all of the custody drama.
”So, not only was this my first movie after all of my traumas, but it was the first right movie. It was the right first movie because I could have did anything,” Ty told TheYBF.com.
Peep our chat above. Sorry Ty! We had to “connect a few links” for the masses. All love.
