TheYBF.com caught up with celebs on the carpet at the 2018 Black Girls Rock event to find out which "Living Single" character they relate to most, following the show's 25th anniversary. Find out who they chose, plus see the "Living Single" cast reunite inside...

Iconic 90s sitcom "Living Single" just celebrated its 25th anniversary, so we had to ask everyone we ran into at the 2018 Black Girls Rock event which character on the show do they identify with most. It's no question the show was a total game changer, offering African Americans a fresh comedy series we could relate to. And many of the topics they explored are still relevant to young, black singles maneuvering through life to this day.

YBF correspondent Unique Chapman chopped it up with "Power" star Naturi Naughton, singer Sevyn Streeter, singer Lloyd, rapper Rapsody, "Greenleaf" actresses Merle Dandridge and Deborah Joy Winans, and Black Girls Rock Tech honoree Dr. Mareena Robinson Snowden and she asked them which character on "Living Single" best describes them.

Naturi's answer may shock you. Peep the clip below:

EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK: Tracee Ellis Ross Is Still On Her T-Murda Ish, Also Reveals DAILY Battle With Self-Esteem

Following her 2018 Emmys nod, Tracee Ellis Ross is getting relateable AF about overcoming her challenges with self-esteem, and why she still thanks us here at YBF for her T-Murda alter ego! Get into our exclusive sneak peek of her ASPIRE ICONS session inside...

Tracee Ellis Ross hasn't given up on spitting lyrics of rap songs from mumble rappers and everybody else. She still doesn't understand that ish they're talking about, but neither do we. So she's still on her T-Murda ish these days.

The "black-ish" star and 2018 Emmy nominee recently chatted up Chris Spencer on ASPIRE ICONS about everything from overcoming her challenges with self-esteem to her T-Murda alter ego. She even gives a shout out to us here at YBF for naming the persona. Ha! Gotta love her. Check it out above.

As perfect as the gorgeous red carpet slayer (and every day slayer, TBH) is in our eyes, even she has self-esteem struggles. So what hope do the rest of us have?! Tracee gets it though, and proves that you never, truly just "get over" those issues, no matter how perfect your life appears to others.

“Insecurity and self-doubt is a part of daily life and I’m a human being that has a vulnerable soul, and I do risky things in my career so that crops up all the time,” says Ross. “I think loving yourself is a daily activity that requires compassion and kindness, and it’s something I’ve learned how to do.”

Instead of becoming reclusive and introverted when experiencing shameful times, Tracee seeks counsel from those closest to her for the love, support and affirmation that she finds challenging to provide herself.

“Those are moments when I lean into other people - into my friends, those that can love me when I can’t love myself,” says Ross. “When I’m experiencing shame I share that with other people and they can hold space and sort of mirror back the larger truth of the experience than just what you’re seeing and feeling.”

Tracee recognizes moments of solitude to be a vulnerable and susceptible state for doubt and darkness to creep into your mind. We can DEF relate!

“When you are left with the self that you are, sometimes there are things that make you feel like you’re less than or not enough,” Ross declares. “And when left in the privacy of our own minds and between the ears, it can be a dangerous neighborhood in there.”

Watch her discuss it below:

Tonight's finale of "Braxton Family Values" is about to be a doozy.  We've got an exclusive look at the bombshell Toni Braxton drops about her sisters inside...

She's always felt it, and she's definitely hinted about it for the umpteen seasons "BFV" has been on the air.  But on tonight's season finale, Toni lets it all out during her 1-on-1 with Iyanla Vanzant during the family therapy session.

Toni Braxton Living Legend (as Tamar calls her) is no longer holding back about just how much MORE of a legend she feels she could have been, if it wasn't for her own family holding her back. She also never felt able to truly live in her light.

 photo Screen Shot 2018-10-04 at 5.25.55 PM_zps2cqo2cnd.png

She explained that when she was asked to go solo by the record label, her sisters - Towanda, Trina& Tamar - made her feel guilty about the decision to say yes.  Traci told her she could just come back for them once she made it, and that she did.  But Toni often had to play Mama while out on the road with her background singing sisters.

Here's a sneak peek at her revelation:

Tonight's season finale air on WE TV at 9/8c.

EXCLUSIVE: Skai Jackson Says Colorism In Hollywood Is Real &'Unfair,' But She's Going To Be Her True Self Regardless

 photo skai1.png

Colorism is Hollywood is no secret and YBF actress Skai Jackson is all too familiar. FInd out what she told TheYBF.com about losing out on roles to lighter skinned actresses and more inside...

Colorism.

It's no secret Hollywood suffers from colorism.

While the "Black Girl Magic" movement is a step in the right direction (and slaying everythng in sight), on-screen representation still lacks showing the range of young, black actresses. It always seems like the same girl - looks wise - is used for every "black girl role."

Disney starlet Skai Jackson knows about it all too well. She's a gorgeous, young, black actress making waves in the entertainment business, however, she herself has noticed that sometimes light-skinned actresses are nabbing roles, specifically written for a darker skinned actress.

YBF Correspondent Tiffany Frances caught up with Skai backstage at the Barclays Center for the WE Day UN 2018 event recently where she dished on dealing with colorism in Hollywood.

"There have been so many movie opportunities, movies that I'm seeing coming out that were originally books and they are originally made for dark-skinned girls, but a lighter skinned girl ends up getting the role," Skai told TheYBF.com. "I just think that's so unfair because it's like, there's so many of us that we could use and not just stick with the same old, same old. I just feel like they're being really safe with their choices."

Skai said there's no hate towards lighter actresses who nab these roles because, of course, they're going to take the role they indeed earned. She simply wants filmmakers & creators to look deeper and notice that there are other actresses who don't have light skin and curly hair who could still slay the role. PREACH.

The 16-year-old entertainer also talked about how she plans on transitioning from a "child star" to an adult entertainer, despite how people may react to her growing up.

Night Schoolhit theaters and quickly became the No.1 film in the U.S. during its opening weekend. Since then, it has raked in over $59 million at the domestic box office and $75 million worldwide. Woot!

So, how did Kevin Hart even come up with the idea of Night School? Easy. It was something he already had in mind, but he had to pitch it. The funnyman served up a pitch in an unlikely place, however, his plan worked and now he and his co-star Tiffany Haddish are rolling in the dough.

But, Tiffany wasn't the first choice to play Kevin's teacher in the film.  Find out what the comedians revealed to our YBF correspondent James Terrell above.  They also beef about what they think each other got suspended for in high school.  Ha!

Now we get a glimpse into possibly why Bow Wow and Kiyomi called it quits.  At least in part.  Chick wanted all the smoke with Lil Mama, all over Shad.  Deets inside...

On tonight's episode of  “Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta,” Bow Wow hits up longtime homie JD's Songwriter Hall of Fame event where he was being awarded a huge honor. Lil Mama hits the scene as well, because she's in the process of establishing a working relationship with the So So Def vets.  But who knew Bow's (then) girlfriend Kiyomi’s jealousy would go on 100?!

Bow invited Lil Mama over to his table for a drink before she left, they hugged, and Kiyomi pulled the "tell your friend to watch her hands or I'ma beat her a**" type foolery.

Check the exclusive sneak peek below:

Meanwhile,  Bow Wow’s old flame, Masika, also returns to Atlanta with a vengeance! Looks like this was all the beginning of the end. Kiyomi revealed a few weeks ago that she dumped Bow Wow, and she started flirting with rapper Young M.A. on IG.

Malcolm D. Lee almost declined directing Night School. Why? Find out what he and producer Will Packer tell TheYBF.com inside...

A funny script. An A-list cast. What more could a director want in a film?

Night School director Malcolm D. Lee and producer Will Packer sit down with YBF correspondent James Terrell to dish on all of the magic (and antics) that went on behind-the-scenes of the hit comedy.

With lead actors Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish it's no surprise folks were cutting up on set. Kev and Tiff were on their comedy ish causing everyone to have to stop and reshoot several scenes before nabbing the perfect run through.

However, all of that magic almost didn't happen as Malcolm D. Lee had originally decided he simply wasn't interested. Say what?! Yep, he wasn't feeling it. And he had one VERY good reason. Check it above.

Bow Wow still isn't over his break-up with Kiyomi, and he's even talking to J.D.'s daughter about it.  Get the tea on the explosive ish that really went down before the break up....

Oh Bow.  Ya boy is having horrible luck in the girlfriend department.  He's on the new season of "Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta" pining away for his chick, whom he broke up with for whatever reason.  And now, he's going THROUGH it.  So much so that he had to go to 20-year-old Shaniah, Jermaine Dupri's daughter, to help him get his ish together.

On tonight's episode, he dishes to her on what really went down before the break up.  And it involves Kiyomi wilin' out on him (see what we did there?) when he came to visit her in the studio one day.  Yeah, she's really trying to rap.

Check it.

If Bow Wow's trying to convince folks this break up isn't conveniently staged for the show, he's failing miserably.

Following the death of her son's father Sutton

Following the murder of her son's father/ex-fiance Sutton Tennyson, Angela Simmons - flossing in a Oscar de la Renta mink coat - is seemingly trying to get back into the swing of things. She made an appearance at the party to promote the upcoming season of the show.

According to reports, Sutton is the victim of a homicide. He was reportedly found dead with multiple gunshot wounds inside an open garage on Jewel Drive in southwest Atlanta.

It's reported he was talking with a man in the driveway when "the conversation escalated" and the man shot Sutton multiple times. The suspect left the scene in a car.

Days after the shooting, a man named Michael Williams surrendered to police and faces multiple charges in the murder of Sutton. According to WSBTV, the alleged gunman shot Sutton several times as Sutton was walking away from the argument. Atlanta police Detective Darren Smith testified in court last month that a witness told police Michael shot Sutton.

The site reports:

The contractor who said he witnessed the shooting told police he was discussing a job with Tennyson when the gunman drove up. He said the two got into an argument over money.

The gunman fired multiple shots before he drove away in a gray BMW. Officers checked tag readers in the area and Smith said they had a hit on the car that was registered to Williams.

Smith told the court that Williams has killed before.

“He was convicted of a murder and some other weapons charges,” he said.

Williams’ attorney said his client was convicted of manslaughter, not murder. But Judge Holly Hughes said she had heard enough to move the case forward and denied Williams bond.

Williams faces a long list of charges: malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during a felony and possession by a convicted felon.

Prayers up for everyone involved, especially Angela and Sutton's son, Sutton Jr.

EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK: Simone Argues With Cecil AGAIN On 'Married 2 Med' Over Inappropriate Dinner With 'Friend' Tammy

 photo Dr-Simone-Whitmore-and-Cecil-Whitmore-update_zpsifdgezxu.jpg

Not sure about y'all, but we're having that same feeling of disgust about Cecil and "Tammy" that we did when Dr. Simone spilled all that tea about their friendship during the last "Married 2 Medicine" reunion.  The latest on their foolishness inside....

On the last reunion show for "Married 2 Med", Simone finally revealed what a lot of her pent up anger was about when it came to her husband Cecil.  She had announced they were divorcing, and her cast members just couldn't understand why.  We guess the fact Cecil never tells Simone he loves her and has issues with boundaries would be non-issues for them in THEIR marriages.  Chile....

When Dr. Simone dropped the truth bomb about Cecil's inappropriate relationship with the couple's long time friend Tammy, folks didn't have much more to say.  Simone went off, dropping tea about Tammy staying with them for 8 days...during the Holidays....even though she lives down the street from them.  As usual, Cecil acted like a mute and as if he saw nothing wrong with the "friendship."  It wasn't enough that his wife saw everything wrong with it.

Some type of way, Toya Harris, Dr. Jackie and others convinced Simone to call off the divorce and work things out.  This season, Cecil was allowed to move back in with Simone, but that ish didn't last long.

On tonight's episode (the show moves to Fridays tonight!), Simone and Cecil go to dinner where Simone unloads about his completely inappropriate solo dinner date with Tammy.  Simone became ALL the way unhinged, and we're not mad at any of it.  Cecil's even got us fuming.  He is trying it, and trying TF out of it.

EXCLUSIVE: 'GUHH' Stars Talk Having 'Tough Skin' When Being Scrutinized On Social Media, Keeping Relationship Troubles PRIVATE + Sneak Peek At Bow Wow Going Berzerk On Finale

 photo guhhexclusive4.png

"Growing Up Hip Hop" is set to return next month, but before the celebuspawns let fans back into their world, TheYBF.com got the chance to chop it up the cast to find out what viewers can expect from this upcoming season. Find out what they told us about social media backlash, keeping relationships private, new projects, and more.  Plus, catch a sneak peek at the season finale of "Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta" inside...

"Growing Up Hip Hop" is set to return for its fourth season next month. And things are going to get realer than real for the Hip Hop heirs as they navigate carving their own lane outside of their parents' shadows.

YBF correspondent Unique Chapman caught up with cast members Angela Simmons, Vanessa Simmons, JoJo Simmons and Romeo Miller at the Gramercy Park Hotel in NYC recently so we could find out how they really feel.

Living your best life in the limelight is hard as hell. And it's even harder now that we have social media where people can share their unfiltered opinions with no one to check them.

 photo GUHHexclusive.png

It's difficult when fans and the media keep commenting and giving their input on every move they make, but the "GUHH' cast is learning how to not let Internet trolls get to them.

"I think the best person to explain that is Angela, honestly," JoJo told TheYBF.com."I see a lot of people on social media always coming at her for the things she does, or how she lives, or even when she goes through certain situations and it's like, kind of not fair that someone just can't be them. They always have to be this reality star. I know Romeo said 'you have to appreciate it,' and we do appreciate it, but sometimes you just have to have times to be you and go through things on your own without opinions of other people who don't even know you."

Last month, Angela's son's father, Sutton Tennyson, was murdered in the driveway of his home. Last week, Angela and her friends jetted to Miami to enjoy all of the Art Basel festivities and she was pounded with criticism where people openly expressed that she was "celebrating" too soon after losing her son's father to gun violence.

"I think for the most part it's just about ignoring it and doing what you're going to do regardless, letting them say what they have to say because everyone is going to have an opinion anyway," Angela responded. "I would definitely say it's just about doing you."

Angela's sister Vanessa Simmons said she goes to Angela often for advice when fans are bashing her on social media. She said her sister always gives the best advice:

"She's like, 'You know what? Let it roll off your shoulders. What are we going to do? People are going to have an opinion no matter what," Vanessa shared. "You could be giving back $1 million and someone will be like, 'Why not $2 million?'"

Facts.

Romeo Miller then dropped some gems about other people's opinions:

"I feel in this day in age, the true key to success and your happiness: You can't worry about people who do so little for you," Romeo explained. "I think when you understand that, that's when you hit that true growth. That's what I like about this cast. We get it," Romeo shared. "We understand that you can be on the right path, doing a positive thing, but as soon as something negative happen, or somebody don't like something they see, they're going to make a comment about it, but you can't worry about that. You have to know what you signed up for."

He continued:

"The thing with this generation, everybody is like their own reality star. Everybody has social media. So, it kind of sucks because now even little kids have to go through this where they're getting bullied and picked on, and that's just the world we live. You have to definitely have tough skin nowadays."

He such a fresh breath of air.

Not only is social media backlash an issue, living out a relationship in the public eye is hard as well.

JoJo, who popped the question to his longtime girlfriend/mother of his child Tanice Amira back in August, revealed the lessons he learned from watching both his mother and father's marriages. And he def soaked in some good wisdom when it comes to relationships.

"Basically, you keep your marriage within your marriage," JoJo said. "And what I mean by that is, everything that goes on between you and your fiance or wife, it stays between you two. You guys keep that strong bond together. Don't let anybody come and try to rock the boat and I learned that through both of my parents' marriages. They stayed strong for years with their significant others. That taught me that there's true love out here and you can make it work."

Good advice. Whether you're a celebrity or not, keeping your marriage/relationship between you and your SO is great words to live by when trying to do this thing called life together.

 photo GUHHexclusive2.png

The Simmons sisters also dished on their sneaker brand, Pastry. The shoe making sisters said when they first released their Pastry sneaker collection, they hit a sweet moment in time because there wasn't anything else like it. If they bring it back, Vanessa said her goal would be to just release a small capsule collection.

"It would be just that one time thing for the culture," Vanessa explained. "I love what we were able to accomplish with Pastry and I think we really did something unique."

Vanessa said they will explore the Pastry conversation more on the upcoming season.

So what can fans expect from the new season? The cast said they will be opening up in ways they haven't in previous seasons. "We're getting a little more comfortable," Vanessa shared. Fans will get to see Vanessa and Angela work on strengthing their sisterhood, coming together on new projects, and how they will resolve their issues with one another.

The "GUHH" cast also dropped some advice for young people trying to build a brand of their own.

"Always keep going," Vanessa said. "Don't ever give in. It's OK to take constructive criticism if someone is giving you advice. You just have to keep it moving, keep growing and never give up."

"When you quit is when you fail. The only time you fail is when you quit," JoJo said.

"Growing Up Hip Hip" season 4 returns on Thursday, January 10th at 9pm ET/PT on WE tv.

As for the Atlanta franchise...

It's the age old tale of "I don't know if I'm ready for the serious ish" vs. "I need a commitment!". We've got an exclusive sneak peek at Lil Fizz and girlfriend Tiffany getting some relationship advice from Waka Flocka's wife Tammy Rivera on tomorrow night's "Marriage Bootcamp: Hip Hop Edition" premiere.

As five of Hip Hop’s fave reality-star couples & exes enter Boot Camp, we basically get the "Love & Hip Hop" edition of "Marriage Boot Camp."

On tomorrow night's episode, married Tammy Rivera offers up some relationship advice when the VIP club flips into Divorce Court!

In our exclusive sneak peek below, Tiffany wants commitment from Lil' Fizz, but he's got the typical f**kboi excuses why he's "just not ready." Yet, he seemingly doesn't want to end it either.

Everything can be on 100 about the relationship, but if you're not getting the commitment you say you need, none of that matters. We don't want to be the ones to tell her to move around, but move on sis.  We're wondering if she already did.  Fizz said in a recent IG Live video that he's single.

“Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition” airing Thursday, January 10 at 10pm ET/PT.

We all have that ONE guy friend, who asks that inappropriate question because he's been wanting to smash.  Romeo Miller is THAT guy for Angela Simmons.  Watch inside...

In tonight's episode of "Growing Up Hip Hop," Angela and Romeo get in a little self care because Romeo's been working so much and "looking tired."  Mama Ange is concerned, and Romeo makes it known he likes that nurturing side of her.

Things get extra awkward, though, when he asks her about her own self-care and letting loose.  Apparently, how many pensis she's had will determine if she's truly living her best life.  Check out our exclusive sneak peek below:

Oop.

Running into an ex is ALWAYS awkward, but Angela Simmons& Bow Wow crossing paths has us cringing.

Years ago, Angela Simmons and Bow Wow were a thing.  Yeah, we can't believe that ish either.  But have grown up, had serious(ish) relationships with other people, and became parents.

Now, we're learning why Ange and Bow broke up in the first place - because he didn't want ANY of that back when they were together.  He was still on (even more of) a f**kboi status, according to Angela.

In tonight's episode of "Growing Up Hip Hop," Angela is bothered when Bow pulls up at Romeo's basketball event she flew in for to be his cheerleader.  She didn't know her ex Bow would be there, and they have a super awkward catch up sesh.  We've got an exclusive sneak peek:

Also on tonight's episode, during a romantic stroll in New Orleans, Angela and Romeo take shocking next steps to move forward in their relationship.

Oh?!
